We are close to the departure pier for boat trips to the Skellig Rock a UNESCO World Heritage site & retirement home of Luke Skywalker! Guests can board a boat for a trip to the Skellig less than 1 minute's walk from The Ferry Boat, we can book the trip for you.
SKELLIG BOAT TRIPS GENERALLY NEED TO BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE – PARTICULARLY IN THE ‘HIGH SUMMER SEASON’ – THE LANDING BOATS LEAVE ABOUT 10.00 am & RETURN ABOUT 3.30 pm. FOR THOSE NOT ABLE TO CLIMB THE 600 STEPS OR WHO DO NOT HAVE TIME THERE ARE TRIPS AROUND THE ISLANDS THAT LEAVE APPX 10.30am & RETURN ABOUT 2.5 HOURS LATER.
